JEHU PROJECTS OPENING OFFICE IN HAVERFORDWEST

 

 
 

One of Wales’ oldest construction and civil engineering companies Jehu Projects is expanding and opening an office in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

Currently employing 80 staff and operating from their head office in Bridgend, the new office based at Merlins Bridge has been set up to service its spiralling business activity in West Wales, having recently secured £11 million worth of new business in the region. The company is also receiving enquiries for a number of significant contracts in West Wales amounting to £9.8 million of potential new work.  

Jehu already has a number of high value projects in West Wales.  The company is currently putting the finishing touches on a 37 apartment scheme at Smoke House Quay in Milford Haven.  Working in partnership with national company Thornsett Group and local Architect Pembroke Design, the show apartment for this £3.8 million scheme is scheduled for completion in May.  Jehu is delivering a 40 bed extra care unit with a special EMI unit at Haverfordwest for Pembrokeshire Housing Association with a project value of £4.8 million.

In addition to this, Jehu has just been commissioned to build a £1.4 million sports hall at Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland.  The company has also been appointed to provide an extension to the National Assembly for Wales‚ Carmarthen office worth £600,000.

Simon Jehu, Director of Jehu Projects commented: "We are making a big commitment to our future in the area by opening an office in Haverfordwest.  From our new base, we can serve existing clients as well as explore new business opportunities in the area.   We see West Wales as a sleeping giant with a lot of potential, our typical job profile here has a value of £1m to £5 million.

"We are currently recruiting for staff at all levels to work from our Haverfordwest office and we are also looking to work with local professional bodies and businesses in the area to form partnerships and alliances.  This is a great opportunity for us and we look forward to building a strong customer base in West Wales.  The new office will be operational by the end of April. "
